ABOUT ME
Hi! Thank you for coming to my site. I am a Licensed Architect in Oregon and Washington, and have almost 20 years of experience in the practice of architecture. My broad portfolio includes single family residences, multi-family apartments & condos, affordable housing, retail, commercial, K-12 schools and hi-tech. After spending my entire career working for other architecture firms, I decided to take a leap of faith in starting my lifelong dream of opening my own architectural studio! I love working with homeowners as clients and helping them transform their house into a home.
I've absorbed various architectural styles from the many places I've lived and traveled to. I was born and raised in Osaka, Japan, and moved to Michigan at a young age. I graduated from University of Michigan (GO BLUE!) with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, and started my architecture career in Southern California. Shortly after my big move to the West Coast, I met my now-husband, Greg, who is a civil engineer. We got married, had 2 kids, and during one of our hours-long work commutes we decided to leave the hustle and bustle of LA life and move to the Pacific Northwest. We have been in the Portland area for almost a decade now, and cannot imagine living anywhere else!
When I'm not designing, you can find me at the local yoga studio, trail running with my boxer-mix Mochi, or teaching art and architecture at my kids' schools.
